InnocenceA Poem by Delilah PlainA short little poem about innocence
Forget not the innocence of a first embrace
Forget not the innocence of a first kiss Love is not a race. Rush not into love, my dears For soon you will know the tears Through the hardships and turmoils You will have to endure, Keep your heart pure. Lose not the feeling of innocence, When you grow old and sense That your time is running out Look back at the days when you were about So young and free With innocence to spare You'll wonder where it's all gone When you are old and full of wear. Weep not for the little time you'll have left But enjoy the time you had When you were pure and innocent.
