Touching stars

Touching stars

A Poem by Absentee Reality Check
"

a poem about humanity

"

We were not meant to fly

So we must learn how not to fall

To forego deep blue skies

For feet upon the ground

But if you find yourself falling

Know that you must have leapt

So high as to have grasped the stars

I really like this poem. It is short in length but it spoke to me. You managed to pack a vicious punch into just a few words. Great imagery, this writing has a strange quality to it,a sexiness maybe? I enjoyed it and I will be reading and reveiwing more.
