Morbid CurositiesA Poem by Absentee Reality CheckJust read it!!!Morbid curiosities A ring of hollow men stands, A Circlet of stony visages Crowning the mountaintop With blank eyes watching As leaden wings spread In a mockery of flight And pale veined marble skin cools While the sun drifts off to sleep And the dreaming moon awakes To oversee these Frozen souls, frail and Fragile as an egg, abandoned memories Of time, framed in alabaster unmarked Who are you? And what secrets do you hold Behind ossuary gates, What treasure do you guard in That necropolis, standing in life’s likeness On the edge of death?
