That Is All...

That Is All...

A Poem by Almost Alive
"

The reason why we're here; Unknown to us, and that's it

"

Just a couple of lines in a paper
That for some minutes we used to sing
And that's all we are

Dust like the one we came from
A simple definition set by us men
And that's all we are

A drop of water in the inmense sea
A second wasted in the infity of time
And that's all we are

The ones who were promised happiness
And obtained but a life of suffering
And that's all we are

A blade long stained in blood
A corpse more in the morgue
And that's all we are

I'm the one who looks for your lips
You're the one who slips away from me...
And that's all we are

Short and sweet.
The meaning is small but the definition is big.
I Love It!!

This is really good!
My favorite part was:

"A blade long stained in blood
A corpse more in the morgue
And that's all we are"

I really liked it.
Great poem!
