The Moth and the SpiderA Story by Deific SixA doubt on Doubt.
A moth was flying wearily in a storm, seeking shelter. Weakening with every wing stroke, it came across a spider spinning its web under a tree.
'Come and rest by my side,' The spider invited. 'It is warm and dry here.' The moth, dubious of the spider, politely declined the offer and set back out into the heavy rain. The moth continued to fly for a while, but still could not find a place to settle. In despair, it found itself back by the tree, where the spider was. 'Let me wrap a thin layer of silk around your wings,' The spider said with a hint of sympathy. 'Your delicate wings are not meant for this kind of weather.' The moth thought for a while. Then, looking at its battered wings, it flew to the spider, where the spider gently soothed the moth's wings and began its work.
