Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

A Poem by Deidara
"

Something I had an idea for about a year ago and finished today.

"
Be still my beating heart.
Cease your tumultuous revelry.
Belie my truest crimson no more;
Conceal yourself in somber hues of an azure thread.

Shrouded in dark, gloomy obscurity, my heart.
Patiently awaiting the final act, my heart.
To turn or not to turn, there is no question.
One foot in front of the other, here I come.

If time can heal all wounds, let time be still.
This trauma runs deep, spreads wide,
pains my heart; yet I must endure.
Scars across my heart, lessons imparted on me.

One day this cocoon will fall away.
Someday my heart may be free yet.
Angst grips it tight, apprehension looms near,
but I will persevere and leave this night behind.
