Snooze button.

Snooze button.

A Poem by Peter

Ah when I was a lad a very small boy.
All day long I would play
And at night I would dream of a toy
But as I grew that went away
And I was tought how to be a man
To get up and go to school
And learn all you can
So you don't grow up to be a ( yup you guessed it ) FOOL

And it all started this way
Everyone from my dad, mom, teachers and anyone who came into my personal space
Weather I invited them in there or not
Would all say
A you snooze you lose.
Hmmmm??
They might have been right in a round about way
that is!
I did as they told me, that I did do
And with great care avoided the button called snooze
as I grew older I and in wisdom I grew
I kept away form bad people and the thing they call booze
So as a good boy I walked and did as I should
But now as am older I think I know better
Maybe I did as I should, but! not as I could
In conclusion I became very confused
What was it this meant?
When they said you snooze and you lose
What would I lose? My dog or the rent?
Now in my older age I feel like I'm bound
so I will hit the snooze button and when I awake I will see what I keep
At mid day I awoke to find The dog didn't run away he's stil, around
BUT!!!!! for once in my life I didn't lose my valuable sleep

Interesting poem about how others shape your life. When you listen to them. And when older you reflect and think. Why did I bother listening to them? I should have made up my own mind for myself, without preconceived ideas and notions from others who made me choose their ways.
