into the ever blinding

into the ever blinding

A Poem by A.M. Nelson

I understand your lips, the
way they press
like darts landing in a swimming
pool.

and I think I know what is beneath
your dress, well pruned panties;
some floral decor.

It isn't that fish believe in the
sea, its that
I am not sure if I will ever feel
what knowledge tastes of
or
how a body relates to a stone
as it sinks
into ever blinding thought.
