unknown in a bar

unknown in a bar

A Poem by A.M. Nelson

unknown sits in a bar
sculling down some beer
burps like chirp like bird
like seer.

--
VISION OH VISION! Like a prostitute
you kneel to it. Smack words against your lips,
untidy, but cleansed.
---
unk on the bar floor with piss stained
peanut and proud dust; licks lips,
yells "gerr off me". we laugh,
----
unable to contain our pleasure
at the recklessness of your
mouth. to think we would listen,
no! we laugh at unknown, we do
not pity.
------
our hearts are made
true by their possession.
------
