blessed is this darkness

blessed is this darkness

A Poem by A.M. Nelson

in two suns--
bodies mingle
fingertips span the
distance.

suzerain truth, might
and word as one. apotheosis
by the vision, and stored
in every star this memory
of peace and paradox.

of love two sides: one
of them is pain. the other unfolds
beyond our eyes, in soul;
in dream.

and spanning darkness is the
truth, hands warmed, clutching
fatalistic sun;
from this we recognize
dark illimitable, love
as love and star as star.

blessed is this darkness--
so touched.
