Elegance Defined in Nature

Elegance Defined in Nature

A Poem by You'reNotAlone
"

Written in May of 2012. Sure it was a school project, but I put my heart into it. I thought it came out pretty well, so I decided to share it somewhere online. Hope you guys enjoy!

You're never the same as a nearby neighbor,
yet somehow similar, in your own beautiful, and majestic way.
You glisten when the morning sun rises,
and you plummet down the Earth's dense side.
The dazzling cascading that is attained,
sends you into a serene pool of gorgeous mist.

You purify water for wildlife galore,
and provide a magnificent home for freshwater species.
Oxygen is fashioned by your superlative plunge,
into the depths of the basin that you have created.

Not many people, within this vast community,
can take the time to examine your true exquisiteness.
They prove to become apathetic when it comes to observing the beauty you hold.
You provide a breathtaking and stunning performance,
as you dance your way down a mountain or gorge.
You're a mixture of pure and pristine simplicity and complexion.

Your descending never ends, and neither does your splendor.
As night arises, the sun is submerged beyond the horizon.
Your processes seem to become simply infinite.
The dispatch of water that is issued from the crest is unlimited.
You prove to behold what is considered a pure and immeasurable procedure.

The sun will rise again and nothing will have changed.
Your beauty shall stay unique,
and your performances will awe the bystanders.
Brilliant and gleaming,
the riffles, leaps and rapids you construct shall be fascinating and refined.
Ultimately, you are part of a great composition within nature,
that truly defines elegance.

I like it. You paint a few scenes for me that are quite beautiful to comprehend, and not just the ones that are in "description", but the ones that play on our fears and bias, like our own unique ability to view beauty and have such totally different outlooks on something so evidently similar at the same time. Lots and lots of adjectives to sift through, but I really like this one of you. Being that this is months old now, I wonder if you are still reading..... xoxo -Mark
