You're Different

You're Different

A Poem by Dee

You hate yourself tonight
And tomorrow will be the same
You think there's no way
Someone so great
Could love me in this state

Don't let the world fool you
It's just filled with fake romance
They want to make you believe
That they have the right answers

But you're different
And yes you've made your mistakes
But you've changed so much
Within the matter of days
I'm proud you're facing this pain
So you can get on with your life again

Keep inching forward
Even if people are against you
This life wants to have you
Enjoy it for the time you have
Because tomorrow could be your last

Cry your tears
Cry so your thoughts get cleared
And I promise I'll meet you here
Ready with open arms
Allow me to come near
Trust in me
And I'll show you the future
