Undead

Undead

A Poem by Dee

I've returned from the dead
I'm sure you haven't met me yet
The real me was never exposed
Now you're wondering and saying
Where did you go?

Your eyes glimmer
Seems you've found hope again
Never going back to your old friend
The life you thought was good
But you were blinded by a fool

Your smile says it all
Your past no longer exists
You've moved on
No need for apologies
The guilt is gone
Your new life has won
And you're now enjoying
The warmth of the sun

Day light is no longer your darkness
And hope is singing in your ears
Come on and meet me here
Take my hand I'll give you a future
I'm ready when you are
Just give me a call
And I'll meet you where you are
