Too Long

Too Long

A Poem by Dee

I've lingered for far too long
Sat around waiting for change
But there was a constant clash of waves

Was no longer waiting for hope
I was searching for somewhere else to go
A cowards way out
I am not sure
But my mind keeps feeding me lies
Hard to separate truth from fiction

All reaction seemed to be our fate
We left everything up to hate
It guided us down
The most fucked up path
So totally twisted
We're incapable of turning back

Life's to short for this
We can no longer carry
On this poker face
We're fading away
No use to deny what's slowly dying
Let admit the existence of our death

Author's Note

Dee
I do throw the occasional swear in. I honestly don't care if people dislike it or don't approve. The reason I do is regarding emphasis and emotion, and intensity. So whatever, if people dislike, then don't read my stuff

I think swearing was one of the best way to show what you want other's to feel about your writing. I like the part "But my mind keeps feeding me lies .Hard to separate truth from fiction." It really happened to everyone , the feeling of believing something to be true even you know its really not.
