In Your Hands

In Your Hands

A Poem by Dee
"

Stuff I've been writing

"
So you got me in your hands
And the darkness
Is what you call my plan
Moulding me, shaping me into what you need
It doesn't matter how in the hell I feel

Coming to a place
I no longer know as home
I'm surrounded by strangers
The ones I once used to know

In your hands
This life comes to a bitter end
In your hands
Decisions left in the dark come to light
We're left wondering, we're left wondering

The life I've come accustomed to
I thought life included you
But everything's shattered
Nothing else at all matters

I suppose the trust disappeared
And someone new appeared
And when the dust settled
We were in separate worlds

All I knew was you
It scares the hell outta me
That I'm unsure of what to do
A life of uncertain direction
Our life now faces extinction
And all we can do
Is hold on for dear life

Unwelcome change is always the most mind shattering. Not so easy to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you didn't know you were in a tunnel to begin with. Passionate and heartfelt words.
