Life's Charade

Life's Charade

A Poem by DeepStruggle

The wind awakens

My saddened heart

As the moonlight creeps

Away from my sight

I sit alone

Floating in my mind

Defying thoughts

Of a never coming delight

As my soul drowns

In a fog of fright

An orphan tear

That hugs the shores of night

To mourn the death

Of a straying life...

An orphan cloud

That hugs the sky

That cries the death

Of a dream... of a life

A withering flower

That fights the drought

That bleeds ...that shouts

A million words

That soon get lost

In the laments of exhaust

And I see

From a distance a shade

That through the trees

Solwly wades

Jaded and frayed

From life's charade

I watch it as it gradually fades

To ashes of hate

I close my eyes

And let the wind take me

through a eternity of sighs

Mazed I am in the scenes

Of a forbbiden dream

Falling I am in my memory

Dormant and unseen

My heart weeps and I plead

The gods of love to heal

A wound that never ceased to bleed
