Half Light

Half Light

A Poem by DeepStruggle

All the words hidden and unsaid

All the feelings ungrasped

All the pain kept inside

And all the love I never gave

Pierce mercilessly my soul

And I'm lost within the fear

Of a never coming relief

A melody sung

In times of lonesome and dread

I'm dying of regret

Ache carves deep in me

Her voice was clear as a bell

I run away from myself

Wishing I killed her

When I had the chance

She's in my head

Reciting words of hate

I hopelessly float like a shred

In the winds of fate

I dream of no tomorrow

In her arms I drown in sorrow

Bottomless seas take away my grief

Bottomless seas take me in your waves

Take me to the end of my days

Take me to my grave

And in a half light

I kneel down to the grave

Mourning my beloved ones in pain

I look at the shattered clouds weeping rain

As I fall endlessly and join them in ache
