I lost my self in my dreams

In the words

I write with tears

In my demons

In my fears

In a world

that never hears

My screams, my screams

In the wound

that never heals

And it bleeds, it bleeds

 

I lost myself

For the heart in my chest

That weeps and weeps

I lost myself

For grief

I lost myself

In the sun

For the brief moments

Of love

That never was and never will

 

I lost my self for the nonsense

And the silliness

For madness

For my sadness

For mind games

For maims 

I lost myself in blames

 

I lost my self for my being

For my soul

For a black hole

For my mind

For what's left behind

For being kept aside

 

I lost myself for you

In you

Because of you

And for your sake

 

I lost myself in void

In life's noise

In a toxic breath

In a repeated death 

 

And nothing will give me

Myself back
