Darkness Took Over

I'am a rose 

A rose in thy hands 

A withering rose 

In thy hands 

Dying slowly 

I'am a word 

A floating word 

Came out of thy mouth 

And soon became forgotten  

I'am a beam 

A weak beam of light 

Which died

When darkness took over

I have prayed and got rejected
