Darkness Took Over

Darkness Took Over

A Poem by DeepStruggle

I'am a rose

A rose in thy hands

A withering rose

In thy hands

Dying slowly

I'am a word

A floating word

Came out of thy mouth

And soon became forgotten

I'am a beam

A weak beam of light

Which died

When darkness took over

I have loved and lost

I have prayed and got rejected

I have sinned and became a sinner

I have crawled on my knees

For forgivness but

I guess I wasn't good enough

To deserve it

I'am a girl

A girl who loved thou

I'am a girl

A girl who cared for thou

Do thou remember ?

Do thou remember my name ?

I'am thy sacrifice

I'am a spirit

Waiting to cross over

Beholding the horizon

Waiting to see the gates

Of eden

I'am a story

A story that never had

The chance to be told

A story without words

A word without a meaning

A life without joy

I'am the girl that thou left to die
