Behind The Curtains

Behind The Curtains

A Poem by DeepStruggle

The room seems to get smaller

Time seems to get slower

And her spirit is lower

Than anytime before

Every night is like tonight

So solitary and cheerless

And the air always feels sullen

It makes her feel breathless

Beneath her mask hides a sorrowful face

So pale, so full of scars

Beneath her mask hides a mournful soul

So fearful , so full of hate

The sheets are stained

With her blood and tears

It's been nine days

Since the last time

She saw the light

She knows that it won't be long

Before she'll be out there again

Now she's waiting for the dawn

As if she will dare to open

The curtains

Now she's waiting for the dusk

As if she will dare to embrace the darkness

A sad shade sourrounds her

Day and night it tortures her

Soon her love will fade

Hopeless she will remain

Soon she will join the dark haze

She's the wound of all times

She's the restless war

Between the light and the dark

She will never be okay again

If he could be with her

She won't feel so alone

If he could stay

They will live together

through the endless days of eternity

But this journey will never end

Hate will never fade

Pain is hard to forget

betrayal in her heart and mind was set

to stay not to vanish away
