Farewell

The rain falling upon me

Will wash away the shame

Will take away all the pain 

The fire inside me

Will revive me

The horizon behind me

Will bring another day 

And to myself I shall return

To heave the love

You didn't discern  

The love you once crucified 

What used to be my life 

The love you still spurn 

And to the grave 

I shall walk our memories

The dead seed of our love 

And bury it with care

As I watch it laying deep 

Away from my reach 

I shall quicken it 

With my streaming tears

To grow trees 

That cry for joy 

And smile for pain 

To myself I shall return 

To live in peace , without a concern 

To live the days 

I've been delaying For decades 

To make place for a new love 

Back to life I shall return
