One Winter Morning

One Winter Morning

A Poem by DeepStruggle

I woke up

To find myself

Dead

For

A brief moment

I thought I saw

A thread

Of a light

In the room

On the bed

Where in pain

I once

Laid

Where blood and tears

I shed

From whence

My hopes

Fled

Under the full moon

Of july

Where I woke up

To find myself

Dead

I was mesmerized

By your charm

I was for so long

A shade

In your life

There was no way

Your eyes

Could see me

So I had

To fade

To a world

I made

From my dreams

From the ache

From the roses

Down the lake

That we used

To praise

From the few memories

That I kept safe

But I wasn't

Strong enough

I wasn't

Good enough

Until one winter

Morning

I woke up

To find myself

Dead

From pain

From lust

From love

From life
