RedemptionA Poem by DeepStruggleIt's the sickness That's making life Slip away from the shell That I'm slowly coming to be It's the sorrow that's killing The whitheld feelings That for so long I wanted to go away And now I realise how precious Is the gift of being alive
The veins that once wept blood Are now empty and frost-bound The aching body That yearned for peace Now yearns to feel anything Even pain came to be a dream And the voices that washed From my wandering eyes the sleep Are now cherished memories Of a mislaid dream
To the Gods above the clouds To the holy spirits of love I recite my last prayers May my voice be louder Than my demons May love be stronger Than carelessness and void May the rain of mercy Withdraw this tyranny
To you I shall pray And by your grace I shall be Redeemed
