Mindless, Not Heartless

Mindless, Not Heartless

A Poem by Writer Boyer

If I give you my heart

you'll break it

in two.

I'll tell you all

my secrets,

when I'm laying down

with you.

If I try not to break

your heart,

it'll end in pieces

in my hands.

Like an hourglass

life will slip away

till nothing is left,

but the fine

dust of my heart.

It wont ever be whole

to be loved the same,

it will be

forever broken.

I wont ever ask

for it to be whole,

ever again.

I give up

on a whole heart,

but i wont ever

give up

on true love.
