Dear Moon

Dear Moon

A Poem by Lilly Lyle

Dear Moon,
I have one favor to ask:
please let me get to sleep
leave my mind at ease
I cant take the nightmares
I'm begging you please.
These demons that haunt me
deep within the night
cause me to stir
and awake at night
I've tried to forget
I've tried to hide
theres no escape
from these terrors at night
make them go away
just for tonight
I need to find my peace
I need a little light
my past haunts me
taunts me to tears
please let me rest
and escape these fears.
Amen.

To be held a prisoner to your dreams is a troubling and disturbing fate. Mr. Moon has been kind to me in the past, I hope he's kind to you.

A prayer to the moon to allow sleep and rest to come... the haunts of night are familiar ones and who hasn't prayed for sleep?... well-done!

I'm a girl with alot of background. I don't say baggage because it sounds so negative. I've got alot of history, alot of thoughts, and a mind that just doesn't know how to stay in one place for long. .. more..
