Lost Love Lingers Long

Lost Love Lingers Long

A Poem by Floydina White
"

ss you can tell, I love Alliteration :)

"

Lost love lingers long
It cares not that it hurts
Memories come rushing out
In drawn out, arduous spurts.

As excruciating as it can be,
Love’s infinite realms contain
Wisdom. Sorting through the memories
Can help abate the pain.

I was disappointed by this, honestly. Your title was incredible! I also am a large supporter of alliteration. My suggestion (more of a challenge) is to make the entire thing an alliteration. Each line could be a different letter. Oh, it would be so exciting that way! And much more expressive of the emotions that should be conveyed in this piece.

Kudos on your vocabulary: arduous, abate. :)
