You Tie Your Tears to Dead Balloons

You Tie Your Tears to Dead Balloons

A Poem by Floydina White

You tie your tears to dead balloons
Drifting in the sky
As the world revolves around you
You stop to sit and cry…

Self pity’s a welcome guest
As you cry for times long passed
With no one to hear you
How long can melancholy last?

In a world filled with laughter
You fill it with tears
Not living but still thriving
Feeding off your fears.

Fears of being alone
Have long set you apart
Crying in the darkness
Will not much change your heart…
