Life is Beautiful

Life is Beautiful

A Poem by Floydina White

I thought I had it all figured out
I thought I had it down
But here you come inside my world
And turn it upside down

What once was lost
Is now again found
You call my name
And I turn around…

Your eccentric sunshine
Has clouded my vision
But being with you seems
A very wise decision

Depression and Loneliness
Were once good friends of mine
Since your fated entrance
They know they’ve run out of time…

Their days are numbered
They know it so well.
Not wanted; hence they go
Back to where, in darkness, they’ll dwell

Time to be alive and feel
Devoid of misery
All that matters is you and me
Living in perfect synchronicity.
