Savage Love

Savage Love

A Poem by Floydina White

Love is a sacred arrow
Which catches me astray
The pain (the sweet sorrow of it all!)
All but carries me away.

Reality bites us hard
And so's love the same
I've loved Madly, Deeply, Truly
And never was whole again.

Someone help me, someone save me!
From this rabid, savage beast
Love; you fiendish, galling brute
You've had quite a feast.
