Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Floydina White

Loneliness--so vast and heavy
It eats at you like cancer
Sinking into a manic depression…
I long to get an answer.

But who is there to aid me
In my darkest hour of need?
I shout out to the vast abyss
My heart doth set to bleed.

The abyss adores my misery
It mocks my piteous pleading
It waits for the inevitable fall…
The invisible siren I’m heeding…
