Twirling BladesA Poem by DeeganIn essence, the world works either together or against itself, because we all are part of a whole. And until we see that, we will continue to have discord.Twirling blades of grass, intertwined as one. Swirling beads of light, descending from the sun. Whirling gusts of wind, cracking like a gun. Quarreling little jays, dancing just for fun. One heartbeat stops, and the world is hard-lined: Scarred or freed, only together are we sublime. Harmony has a pulse, alone we are expired. Far do we reach, at our hopes to be alive. In this world that we call home, love is not free. Unless I do from you, you will get no love from me. Duchess of my life, I just need you to see: Sunless are our days, as long as we can’t be. © 2010 DeeganReviews
