Dreams

When we dream it feels so real...

I close my eyes

off to the dream land I go


I meet my secret lover

There, the wind blows


All of my secret feelings

this is where it manifests


Only God knows

If this is really a test


Anything can happen here, because it's in my mind

I feel, I see, I cry, I touch


What happens here is so much.


I don't want to leave this place

Because I am in control,


But if I get lost in this place,

Then I won't be whole.


I'm walking down a neverending staircase,

pondering if there is an end


Not realising that it's the way

for my heart to mend


I hear echoes of familiar voices

who are no longer with me


As it changes with me and him

sitting under a willow tree.


The flashbacks of moments I don't want to remember come

and blur my peripheral vision


But it's all down to me

to make the right decision


To let go.

To be free.

To grow.

And to not be sorry.

For what was done in reality.

Just finished watching Inception... and felt like writing something about dreams.
