It's just you and me

It's just you and me

A Poem by D S Rollins
"

My arch nemesis- the scales

"

Watching the red lever flicker

It's going past 100...

I'm not getting thicker?

It finally stops

But I know it's lying...

My jaw drops.

They told me I had to lose a few

But I like food!

Fine... I've got the clue.

I step on the a-cursed platform

Awaiting the read

I don't like what I see

But I like me.

Just a random idea. I'm playing around with rhyme too. So it might look forced.

whether or not the rhyme is forced, i like it. i think its funny, yet at the same time your still letting people know that it doesnt matter what your size, you still like who you are. A lot of people have trouble accepting themself for being a few etra pounds overweight

I really enjoyed your poem. It's definitely a different idea I have never seen or read from anyone before, it is very refreshing. You are a great writer.
