You are my pool cue

You are my pool cue

A Poem by D S Rollins
"

A Villanelle.

"

Strike the ball with a pool cue.

The rage against the white ball.

You never know with you.

You ask questions that end in “who?”

The ball missed and that’s your fall.

Strike the ball with a pool cue.

Other people can play too!

The rage against the white ball.

You never know with you.

When you lose, you want to run to the loo.

Spending your money and life in the mall.

Strike the ball with a pool cue.

You want to keep winning until you turn blue.

One more to pot: the black eight ball.

You never know with you.

You’re as gentle as a babies coo.

Bleeding and bruising in your winning brawl.

Strike the ball with a pool cue.

The rage against the white ball.

This is a very strong Villanelle...considering Dylan Thomas's masterpiece is the only thing I can compare it to, I think this one came out pretty good. Very nice writing.
