Goddess Of The SkyA Poem by JessicaI based this off an Egyptian Goddess
I sit a top my throne of clouds looking down upon the nobles.
Daytime is pretty I guess, But I much prefer the twilight. I feel my Egyptian followers do not understand the need of I, Me, Nut, My short but simple name. For I only see my beloved Geb at night. Once my brother, Now my partner. I celebrate while I command the moon to rise, And the sun to tame. Only a few sad souls ask my guidance now. No matter the time it takes, As I drift away upon my clouds, I Nut, Goddess Of The Sky, Will wait for the ones who need to look up to me © 2014 Jessica |
