Here's to My Mommy

My mom is very special to me and I thought I should share as much as I can about her. :)

My Mommy,

What would I do without her?

Always by my side during hard times,

There for the good times,

And there my silly, weird times.

"MOM I CAN'T FIND MY STUFF!"

I always yell down to her,

Tell's me to look again and I still can't find it,

She go's and finds it,

I swear she had it hidden. 

"MOM WHAT'S FOR DINNER?"

I always ask her as I come in from school,

Tell's me that its patateos and stew

I tell her... I don't like it

But one step ahead of me, already has mine ready.

"MOM I NEED YOUR HELP WITH HOMEWORK"

She come's and helps,

With no complaint,

Explains it and helps me work it out

I go to school and people think I'm smart when really it's just my mom.

"MOM I NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY DAY"

Listen's to me go on,

and on,

and on,

and on some more,

And by the end she's probably bored.

Mom this and that,

Mom where's that? 

Mom Stop!

Oh my gosh mom GO!

Mom oh Mom, 

Sorry?

She is the one who lets me cry on her shoulder,

for sad reasons,

weird reasons,

and sometimes some pathetic boy reasons...

She's the one who wiped my tears away when I cried before surgery,

and she's the one who made sure that the last face I saw was hers,

Gave the surgeons a stern 'suggestion' that they better do good,

I would say first face I saw after... But I don't remember.

She helped me get through the bullies,

She helped me get through the depression,

Pretty much every she helpled me with.

Here's to the Person of Strength,

Here's to the Woman Of Love,

...

To Te lady of my life,

an amazing mother to me 

And to my father, a golden wife.

She's my hero, my rock 

and almost anything I need her to be,

Here's to My Mommy

Wow! I really loved it. I know love my mom. My favorite part was how you start some paragraphs with dialogue. You also used some great words like depression and stern.

Aww, this is such a beautiful poem. Your mother sounds just great. Unfortunately I cant relate to this piece, as my mother tried to drown me at just two years old. Excellent write :)

This was beautiful, this poem was also filled with emotion and very deep.

Some mothers are kind of selfish and very different, to how you have described your mother.

I can relate to your great poem for my mother who has left us long ago.
I can relate to your epic poem for my daughter and son who really are blessed by the same care from their mother.
You have presented the universal mother while attempting to write about your own mother.
