MachismoA Poem by Dee Oddbinsmore of the shameOut with the boys on a Friday night, Peace, love and lager until the fight, Random violence, no reasons why, look at them and then you die, The fighting men in the town, Pick you out to kick you down. They don't stop until you bleed, a harmless soul is all they need. The more of them, the more the fun, The more they look for just the one. The saying is "don't stray too far," Not even to your local bar. They will be there drinking beer, Next time out you will drink in fear. Next weekend, it's someone new, unless of course, they are after YOU. You find a way to stay inside, With busted lip and broken pride, They've made another broken shell, Another bar room joke to tell. They've had a laugh at your expense, Watched the world across the fence, Shrugged it off with practised ease, Another 4 pints of lager, please
