The Jack of Hearts

The Jack of Hearts

A Poem by Dee Oddbins
"

house of cards

"
I stalked the man
who dared to
try and
live up to
my name
-
nothing left
but
emptiness
-
nothing felt
but
shame
-
the crimes of
generations, now
piled upon my
head
-
for one
remorseless
act
-
and all
relations
dead
-
and now I
gently scream
at the
broken down
remains
-
of
Yesterdays
hotel
-
and all
tomorrows
pains,
