Today I'm Going to Write About Sex

A Poem by DedPoet
"

Simple fleshed desire.

"

I do not feel like writing as DedPoet today.
I am not suffering writer's block, or as an artist,
Nor as a writer. Today I am simply a man
With a need to be filled, the part of me
That craves the touch of a woman.
Even if the evocation of Nerudian romanticism
Were written by a dark lustrous sensation
Calling forth the beast to devour her body
In a storm of lovers bodies entwined
In a fiery ravenous rhythm, a harmony of flight
Creating a singular Heaven,
I would still be a man,
A man with certain needs.
Perhaps, perhaps after I have filled the
Insatiable act, DedPoet will return to you
With verses of the lovers,
That which binds the romance in poetical
Fullness, writing of how I traced my
Fingers throughout her body,
As though tracin a lineage,
Lyricism of the male in need,
The liberation of a poet saint all
Over her naked state,
The revolutions of brilliant dazzling verses,
But for now,
I am Ernest, simply a man
With certain needs,
Today I will write about sex,
Perhaps tomorrow a poem will be born of
The man's satisfaction.

This is great. Powerful honesty about a feeling that we all have and that is often all-consuming. You say it and you say it well and I am quite glad to have read it! Keep sharing!

I started writing two years ago after a long hiatus due to that disorder called life. Once I picked up the pen I began to remember my passion and natural affinity for words. I am a drop out, a man bor.. more..
