Lost without a trace.

Oh, it's a mere memory that can't be seen;

Slithering shadow in the dark,

Tethered not to this shell of a being.

 

Make no mistake:

You're not to blame.

 

Moving silently, I sense it at times and,

In that brief moment, I do feel weak.

Never the pest, it does soon flee. Please:

Do not seek.

Thank you very much. This was just a weak attempt of mine to write an acrostic poem at seven in the morning, in psychology class, after a week long drug binge. It seemed appropriate at the time.
