stars

stars

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

me and the moon are planning something great

"
they say the stars remember all, but do they tell the truth?
because if they really do, I think they should answer when I call them in the telephone booth
I've spent a million quarters now, I think there's been enough delay
now I really think there must be some trickery at play
I think the stars are hiding all their secrets up where we can't see
of course they're afraid of what we'll do if all that knowledge gets to you and me

 ✩

me and the moon are planning something great
if you want to meet me at the the kuiper belt post-haste
we'll steal the info from the stars, we'll make them wish they told
it's sure that by the end of this, we'll be the ones with first place, with gold
I can't deny it, it might be risky, but it's worth the pain, just trust me!
what's the plan? well- I can't tell you now, you'll have to wait and see

This was rather a fun jaunt out into the cosmos to see what's going on out there. I enjoyed. F.

I adore how your "nonsense" leaves so much room for thought. To some, a secret within the author. To others, a memory. This makes me think of being a child, wanting to know more about the world. I love how open for interpretation it is. Great work of art!
