texting

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

you chat, carefree

"
the latest night
hidden under the covers, even without fright
a content sigh as you chat, carefree
a crude text asking "do u <3 me?"
a laugh and a smile, of course it's a joke
"of course bbg, you're no normal bloke"
you chat and you play, wasting the day
well, not the day, it's night anyway
soon you doze off, not sugarplums in head
but instead thinking of tomorrow night, without dread

I like this because it reminds me how much I despise texting and chatting...I remember real conversation in the late sixties and early seventies...real connections.
This poem worked because it made this reader react.
