Growing Up

Growing Up

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

the abandoned wishes of the past, as we know now life isn't a fable

"
a hushed discussion across the table
unsure of what's to come, but knowing it must be better
the abandoned wishes of the past, as we know now life isn't a fable
forgotten, the wishes of twenty children and five dogs
the twenty-seven horses with the self-cleaning stable
replaced with the mundane, the nine to five job
