Street

Street

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter

(Lyrics.)

"
(Starts on soft indie, 4/4)
Walking down the street,
You right after me,
Let's make this a good great day.

Trip back to oblivion?

(Electric Buzz, mood turns more energetic )
Turned back- dropped the act
"I just couldn't help it, the odds were stacked!"
Opened the window to stop the draft
Once you left the chances were halved-
I couldn't stay, I couldn't leave
Don't open the window there's a bree-
(Returns to original style, static undertones.)
 Walking down the street,
You right after me,
Let's make this a good day.
Can't it wait,
Today is just too great-!
Trip back to oblivion.

(Feedback, similar to that of a microphone. 'Frantic'.)
Glanced away, didn't say
all the million things on my mind.
Curtains billow to the right
I don't miss you by my side-
Right?
(Static degrades to soft tune, before abruptly cutting off)

Might make some sheet music for this later. 😅 It's meant to be a short, end-of-the show like tune.
