Watching

Watching

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

peacefully on the sidelines

"
I watch peacefully on the sidelines
I can't really complain
I'm the one who chose writing over the game
I don't have many friends in this class anyway
They all start to play some hybrid of five different things
The boy's running around in complete disarray
The girls, much more mature, hit volleyballs every which way
OUCH! A ball makes impact with someone's face
Still, they smile and laugh-
someone falls over like an awkward giraffe
The game looks fun anyway-
Although, I'd rather die than ask to play.
Because I'm having so much more fun
watching them play instead of the game
That's what I usually do anyway
