The Blade

The Blade

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

Held by whom

"
The knife digs twice as deep when the blade is blunt
and you're prepared, but not enough.
When the person holding the blade can get under your skin
Because you were wholeheartedly stupid enough to let them in
The blade digs hard, and you give in
betrayed by your very own kin

It resonates with our human experience. But what is the back of the blade call? A spine. Sometimes that's all we need if we are to learn this time. I've had my share. And better for it. Great peace.
