Stars

A Story by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

We'll play with them

"
You've got to chase your stars or else you'll never see the way they shine, when you get them in your grasp
They are hard to reach, but not impossible to grab.
They'll burn your hands if you're not careful, so make sure you wear your gloves
Bring a tune, or five, or two, I heard stars like to dance
Maybe while they twirl and spin you can snatch them by the hand and dance along
I heard stars like to paint and write, maybe bring some ink
When they're finished writing, maybe you can peek
People say stars hold all the secrets, but really I'm not sure.
I think they're more carefree spirits, they just go along.
They could not care about secrets- or anything at all.
Maybe they just want to dance at their balls and play with their ink.
Or maybe they just want to sit around and think.
Who are we to judge the stars, when we just do the same
Maybe we'll hang with the stars someday-
But that day is not today.
When we die, maybe we'll go to play with the stars
They'll teach us how to use their ink and dance in their shoes

And maybe, just maybe, we'll be stars too.
