If God, Then Why

I don't find the idea of God difficult to believe,

I just find his methods confusing.

 

IF

Suicide is such a sin-

IF

Your body is a temple-

IF

We can overcome all trials we are given-

 

THEN WHY

Are some of us genetically wired to kill ourselves?

THEN WHY

Is self-mutilation is the only resort for so many to free their demons?

THEN WHY

Did I want to slash my wrists because of the chemicals in my head?

 

If it's because you don't want control-

if you want us to make our own choices,

then don't give us the notion that you exist

because that makes everything much worse.
