Mania.

Mania.

A Poem by Typhoid Kelsey

I blink.

I should be tired.

But my mind is still awake.

Figment, philosophize.

Review and plan the day.

Racing and fleeting thoughts.

A sign I'm insane.

I stare and memorize

the things of no importance.

I think,

I can't think.

I cannot look away.

Living without-

Leaving me-

Seering me-

All comes around.

I shake.

I haven't eaten.

No need for food today.

Process, energize.

Listless and unattentive.

I flicker and I'm gone.

I don't know what to say.

I twitch and ponder lies.

Of things gangrene and sallow.

I think,

I can't think.

I cannot look away.

Living without-

Leaving me-

Seering me-

All comes around.

Shaming me.

No, not today.

Look away.

Is it me?
