Mannerisms.

Mannerisms.

A Poem by Typhoid Kelsey

If I were to quit these mannerisms

awkwardly display how very sick I am,

inside and out-

would you quit these mannerisms

and acknowledge the suffering?

I deem it rude for me to drop such hints,

that I'm so tried and tired and quietly dying in the corner-

however, since it often seems that you don't look up,

I believe I shouldn't bother trying

and you haven't given me reason to think otherwise.

Though I still wish you would.
